Earth Day falls on Monday, April 22, 2024. As Earth Day approaches, April, also known as Earth Month, presents a great opportunity to declutter your space by responsibly disposing of any outdated electronic devices. During the spring season, many municipalities provide options for proper disposal.

Where to dispose of electronics for free?
United Electronic Recycling accepts a variety of electronics for recycling at no cost, including laptops, computer monitors, VHS tapes, and microwaves, among others. While most items can be recycled for free at our electronic recycling events, there are certain items such as Televisions, CRT monitors, printers, copiers, and fax machines that may incur a recycling fee.

Is my computer safe to recycle?
We are certified as an R2 recycler, guaranteeing secure data wiping processes for all hard drives brought to our facility. Our Plano events also offer hard drive shredding services. Remember to remove all hard drives from laptops or desktops before bringing them for on-site shredding.
