Jason Keller is the proud CEO and founder of United Electronic Recycling. With over 20 years of knowledge and experience with electronic recycling, Jason’s leadership has grown UER over the last decade. Jason leads with the goal of maintaining sustainable practices, protecting environmental quality for future generations, and exceeding industry standards. His motto, “Recycling today for a better tomorrow!” says it all Jason serves his industry and community as the past President of the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association (NTCRA) and as Vice Chair on the board of directors for The State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR), and is involved in numerous non-profits and charities. He strives to embody UER’s core values of Integrity, Commitment and Positive Influence in his professional and personal life. Jason and his son enjoy football and all things on the lake.
Andy Gabehart joined UER through a strategic partnership with existing companies under his ownership which include UER, Office Interiors Group and United Country Real Estate and Auction Services. This green family of services includes real estate, architecture, space planning and design, new and preowned office furnishings, relocation and corporate moves, electronic recycling, data destruction, secure document shredding, decommission, liquidation and auction services. Andy’s business experience makes him a trusted partner for the life cycle of any business through conception, growth, consolidation and every unique need in between. His vision and leadership have led to best-in-class service, a thriving company culture as well as an expanded offering of added-value services for our customers. Andy serves his industry and community working with many non-profits and community groups.
United Electronic Recycling’s General Manager Heather Douglas is a fast-paced, solutionist with a wide breadth of sustainability knowledge and wisdom. Don’t let her Southern drawl fool you! An accomplished professional with over 17 years of recycling management experience, Heather brings proficiency to our operations, business development, document destruction, and administrative management teams. Heather currently sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR) and on the Municipal Solid Waste Management and Resource Recovery Advisory Council for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). She is the current secretary for the Texas Recycling Business Council, is the past president for the North Texas Corporate Recycling Alliance, and a proud member of Women in the Environment (WE) and the Society of Texas Environmental Professionals (STEP). When she is not busy being our ‘Intergalactic Recycling Superhero’, Heather enjoys riding dirt bikes, water sports, and cooking large meals for her friends and family.
Steve Kassen serves as the Vice President of Sales of United Electronic Recycling, Mobile Shred IT and Office Interiors Group. Steve brings over 20 years of recycling expertise in processing, managing and sales leadership to the team. As the Sales Director of the three organizations, he connects the UER. MSI and OIG sales teams in offering best practices, strategies and cost-efficient service to all customers. Steve has extensive experience in buying, selling and processing information technology assets through numerous distribution channels. He serves his industry and community through BOMA, The State of Texas Alliance for Recycling (STAR), among others. Steve enjoys his free time with his family and his involvement in the Frisco community.
Michael Brooks serves as Operations Manager for United Electronic Recycling bringing over twenty years of industry experience to the team. Michael began his career in recycling in 2001 as the National Fleet and Safety Manager for a paper recycling company based out of Montreal, Canada. He has also worked as the General Manager for multiple Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs). A Fort Worth native, Michael graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) and a minor in Psychology. He has served his industry and community a Board Member of Greater DFW Recycling Alliance as well as volunteering as a Co-Facilitator for FOCUS (Fathers Offering Children Unfailing Support); a 10-week program that meets for two hours one day a week designed to equip dads to be more effective in the lives of their children. Michael has four children and four grandchildren. When he is not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, reading, fishing, and riding his jet skis.
Elizabeth Keller serves as the Marketing Manager of United Electronic Recycling, Mobile Shred IT and Office Interiors Group. Elizabeth brings over 15 years of marketing experience to the team, with over 12 years spent specializing in the recycling industry. As the Marketing Manager of the three organizations, she connects the UER, MSI and OIG sales teams in offering best practices, strategies, event promotion and marketing materials to all customers. Elizabeth enjoys working with municipalities and businesses to support recycling throughout Texas with expertise in both traditional and digital marketing. She has served Keep Texas Beautiful as a regional trainer, the NTCRA as a past-president, numerous chambers of commerce amongst others. Elizabeth stays involved within her community with the Daughters of the America Revolution and enjoys her free time with her family; which includes her twin boys and goldendoodle.
Tim Straten oversees IT projects for United Electronic Recycling and came to UER with over six years of experience working within the recycling industry and over 10 years of experience as a technician and computer programmer. Tim serves his community with his passion for fostering dogs and promoting sheltering through ShelterLuv.com.
