What is an electronic recycling event?
An electronic recycling event is a community or organization-hosted event where people can drop off old or unwanted electronics to be properly recycled, rather than throwing them in the trash.
Do I need to pay for anything?
Most items can be recycled for free at our electronic recycling events. However, certain items such as televisions, CRT monitors, printers, copiers, and fax machines do have recycling fees.

Why is there a charge?
Recycling fees are used to cover any applicable transportation costs, processing fees, disposal fees and labor costs. These fees are especially important for harder-to-recycle electronics, which often require specialized handling, dismantling, and processing due to hazardous materials or complex components.
Do I have to be a resident of a specific city or county to participate?
Some events are limited to local residents only, especially if it’s hosted by a city or county. You may be asked to provide proof of residency (like a driver’s license or utility bill).
